In the war of information, learn how whole communities of ‘stakeholders’ are routinely being manipulated into being ‘agents of change’ for a ‘higher purpose’…

Whenever a school district gets the directive to become an ‘agent of change’ for a ‘higher purpose’, (and from whom will be dealt with later in this article) they may have trouble convincing wary teachers, parents, and the community at large of the validity or need for new methods and philosophies that are about to be employed in their district’s classrooms. This is often the case especially when these new ways of doing things seem to defy common sense by being at odds with what has been successful in the past.

One of the ways to build ‘consensus’ among people for a strange new idea is to ‘facilitate’ a meeting or series of meetings in which the doubtful ones are steered to the proper conclusion using what is called the ‘Delphi Technique‘.

You can read more about the ‘Delphi Technique‘ here. Seem unethical to you? That’s because it is.

A company called NESDEC uses this very unethical method of gaining consensus through group manipulation tactics.

Educational consultants from NESDEC are often hired to convince teachers and others to support certain ideas in the public schools. On NESDEC’s website, they advertise the services they provide, promising not only to get the skeptics on your side, but to keep them committed:

Strategic Planning is an excellent way to develop a shared vision for a school system. NESDEC’s Strategic Planning is a process customized to meet the needs of a school district. Using NESDEC’s exclusive Facilitative Group Technique, trained coaches assist in developing consensus around a district’s mission and vision. Participants in the Strategic Planning process are guided to new and higher levels of thinking. Ongoing ownership and commitment for the planning efforts are supported through continued participation in NESDEC’s Future Directions Follow-up Services.

If the real ‘stakeholders’ in education (the parents and taxpayers) do not become aware of how to DIFFUSE THESE GROUP MANIPULATION TACTICS from the start, the radical, unproven ideas of the outside influences that control public education will be implemented to the detriment of real academics.

Even without the influence of programs such as IB, it is the influence of any of a number of other NON-governmental entities, such as the National Governors Association as well as the United Nations itself, whose agendas are enforced through Federal and State educational agencies (such as the DOE or the New England Consortium). They are often sold to the teachers and public with the help of commercial entities such as NESDEC. Influences by the aforementioned groups are what is really driving the agenda in public education, yet it’s all funded by our very local tax dollars.

These groups are NOT the true ‘stakeholders’ consisting of parents and taxpayers, as our constitution states it must be.

This ‘psychological warfare’ is being waged in all our American institutions on a daily basis. Parents, teachers and the community must intervene, and before any of the interlopers proceed, dare to ask the question, ‘who authorized you to be here’?
